A communication companion for people whose first languages are different, but who have plenty to say to each other.
It started with a conversation
CATranslate grew out of the everyday experience of talking across languages: sharing a joke, making plans, sending a voice note and wanting the other person to understand what you really mean.
CATranslate has been in real-world use for two years, and the community currently includes 15 groups and 33 people.
Built with people, refined through use
Conversations with linguist collaborators and feedback from users help shape our translation approach. Our own orchestration layer puts meaning checks, validation and repair around model outputs, with a focus on preserving the current message rather than inventing context.
The result is a subscription-based Telegram product that combines translation, voice, research and visuals. In-chat learning currently supports a Turkish–Polish experience, with broader personalization on the roadmap.
What we are building next
We plan to explore Claude-assisted translation quality review and expand language-learning preferences. These are development plans, not claims about features already running in the product.
